When I went to Paris a few years ago I never got the chance to try Escargot. I never had high expectations as far as taste is concerned, but I am always up for trying something at least once. I always imagined that my first (and probably only) Escargot experience would be just like in the movie, "Pretty Women." I was really hoping to say, "Slippery Little Suckers," but unfortunately I got shell-less escargot. No fun! I don't know if they cover it in oil to cover its flavor, or its texture. It reminded me a lot like seafood, but it wasn't horrendously disgusting, and if I was given the opportunity I may even try it again (hopefully with the shell intact to make it a little more interesting).
