Steam Geysers in Bolivia
While in Bolivia I had the opportunity to visit Sol de Mañana, a geothermal field filled with steam geysers and mud pools. The best time to visit is early in the morning to really get a sense of the steam against the cold air. I am not kidding when I say it was really cold that morning! I almost didn't want to get out of the truck, but as I saw other brave souls head towards the geysers I knew I had to just suck it up and go for it. I literally hopped out of the truck, got someone to take a picture of me next to the geyser, and then ran back into the truck. I didn't even have time for fear to get the best of me.
It's difficult to explain how powerful the steam was bursting up from the ground, but luckily I found a 2 second video I recorded....
