Vote In An Election

I'm not really into politics.

But a long time ago, women fought for me to have the right to vote.

My vote counts.  Your vote counts. All our votes count.

There have been twelve presidential elections that have been decided by less than a 1% margin.   In the 2008 presidential elections only 63% of eligible voters actually exercised their right to vote.

Because I work long days, and can't easily leave for an hour to go to a polling station, I usually mail in my vote as an absentee ballot.

Since turning 18 I have now voted in two presidential elections (only missing the one when I was 19).

If you haven't already, I encourage you to Register to Vote.  It's easy.  I promise.

Date Accomplished:   November 2004
